Schecter Custom 5
What caught my attention was the look of this bass. What kept my attention was the sound and playability. It's got a great neck for any size hands, awesome pickups (EMG's can be a bit noisy at times), and a price I couldn't walk away from. I've owned and played basses costing hundreds, even thousands more and this one stands out from the crowd! Not neccessarily the ideal recording bass, but for live gigs, this axe is now my road dawg.

Not what I was hoping for
I own the sunburst Schecter Omen 4 bass and decided to give a 5 string a shot. I traded in the 4 string for this bass. I was severely disappointed. The necks is not comfortable to play at all. The strings felt very weak when plucked it did not give off a full amazing sound like my 4 string. The hardware felt very cheap and the guitar is so light that I feel the lacks of punch is where it stems from. This is the FIRST Schecter guitar I have ever been disappointed in. I returned it and got my original 4 string back.

Fantastic bass. Only required a little bit of tweaking when I first got it and then it was good to go. Great sound and feel to it, extremely comfortable to play. This bass works great for worship, rock, metal, anything you can think of. 100% recommend.
i love how punchy fat tones this bass produces

This bass is just crazy! It just makes you want to play it in your sleep. When I opened it up at the shop, my eyes grew so big haha. The white one looks different from the picture, BUT it still looks amazing. It's more of a creamish color if that makes sense. Sounds amazing, looks amazing, people stare at it. Buy it.
After years it still holds up!

I've owned this bass for about 6 years now and it still amazes me. It can do everything you need it to, from jazz to metal, it plays beautifully, the low B string doesn't lose any of its potency through the electronics and it looks absolutely gorgeous (I bought the natural satin, gold-looking model). I have gotten dozens of comments on how beautiful the bass looks. I've primarily used it for playing at local churches but I've also used it for jamming with friends, playing rock or metal, and in jazz bands and it sounds great in every situation (I've also gotten some pretty funky sounds out of it too). For the price, you can't get a better bass. To beat the quality of this bass you'd have to easily pay double, if not triple the price of what it's going for. I love this bass to death and would recommend it to anybody for anything, whether you're a novice looking for an upgrade, or a long time player who just needs something new, this is the bass.

This is an amazing bass guitar. I play mine through my 4x10 Ampeg Classic Cab & an Ampeg SVT-7 Pro Head. Every note plays out beautifully no matter the tuning you're in. I'm in a band that plays in drop G and drop A and works with no problems, even with the strings that come on it. The Natural Satin stain is gorgeous with the matte gold hardware. Of course, the EMG HZ pickups are a very good plus to put it all together. Overall, if you're looking for a bass that sounds as good as it looks then get it. I didn't hesitate buying this, even before I was able to play it, and I regret nothing. I will say my favorite part about this bass are the two darker stained stripes on the back of the neck that goes all the way to the headstock. Very sleek looking.

How does it compare to the Schecter Studio?
The finish is the main difference. Electronics may vary slightly, but for the most part it's the same outside of the cosmetics.
