I'm a die hard heavy metal/marching band bass clarinetist, and this legendary work of art is among the rarest and highest quality instruments in the musical universe. Its warm rosewood body provides a sensational sound as it rattles your teeth and body with it's contra low sound. Shopping for one is something close to impossible I'm afraid, as most stores would most likely point and laugh at you b/c it's price is in comparison of a new Ford Mustang. : / But if you have a couple $23,000 laying around and you're unsatisfied with your cheap marching horn this the god of all bass clarinets my friend. : )
