The TB-4 JB is the Trembucker (F-spaced) version of the JB Model humbucker. Designed in the early '70s, the JB Model humbucker adds juice to the bridge position of any humbucker-equipped instrument. With its hot coils, and Alnico 5 bar magnet, this pickup delivers an unmistakable upper midrange attack, a tight, articulate low end and harmonically rich highs that can really sing. The JB is the perfect bridge pickup for anything from blues and country to the meanest hard rock and metal. Pair with the Jazz neck model for the ultimate Hot Rodded humbucker set. Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide-spaced hard tail bridge (two or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup). Hand built in their Santa Barbara, CA factory, the JB Trembucker uses an Alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

This is a classic humbucker you have heard on pretty much every 80s rock album. It gives you a mid heavy tone that sounds great for rock guitar. If you are buying this you are probably wanting to drop it in the bridge of a super strat. Great for shredding and riffing. Go ahead and turn it up to ten!

Put this guy in my esp Ltd ec-1000 tcm. In the bridge position. Fit perfectly the low e string just a little off from the pickup pole. Much better than the regular Seymour Duncan pickup.

  • Great sound!

Installed one in bridge on my Dean ICON Floyd Rose. The factory Dean pickup sounded great kind of Gibson 57ish but, just needed a little bit more beef in output and harmonics. Those were greatly improved post install. I couldn't be happier with the guitar now. I also have a JB Trembucker in my Jackson Adrian Smith San Dimas Strat and that's where I really noticed a difference. The Jackson pickups are just barely ok in the SDX Model so I paired the JB TB4 with a mid and neck Fender stock American single coil Strat pickups and the guitar sounds as good as the US version with the Dimarzio SDHB and Fender Noisless set. This pickup has a non harsh mid bark that just hits you with hair metal tone but you can dial in very nice clean tone as well. This is the first step in getting quality tone regardless of the wood construction, you will hear the difference! My third one is non TB spaced for a Les Paul. These are hot but articulate natural tone clean or dirty

Hi! I'm going to buy a Seymour Duncan JB bridge humbucker for my American Special Strat. Which should I select, the TB or the SH. The bridge is stock. Thank you.
