I installed this pickup in a 99 Schecter A7elite that had a Duncan Design pickup in it to begin with. The full shred really cleaned up the sound of the guitar. Chord ring clearer, More sustain, chords sound fuller. Just enhanced everything about the sound of the guitar. Duncan design pick ups can sound really good but they are hit or miss. You get a lot more consistency with the American made Seymour Duncan pick ups as far as sound goes. Better copper and magnets for sure. The company has stated before the the Duncan Design ones are exact design copies made in South Korea for mass production. But the quality of copper and magnets varies because they try and make the copper go farther by adding other metals to it overseas.

I got these two weeks ago for a gift and put them in my Ibanez RG7321. These pickups are ridiculous! I play a lot of deathcore stuff like Chelsea Grin but more classic metal like Metallica too, and this pickup combined with the neck version is astounding. The low end is amazing for "chugging" riffs and breakdowns while the high end lives up to it's name, full shred. Whether you play like Hammet or Syn or you just play rhythm and keep low, this is a great choic of replacement pickup. Real Seymour Duncan quality.
