Seymour Duncan

collapse expand iconDescription

With more than twice the power of a traditional Stratocaster single coil, Quarter Pound Strat pickups will transform any Stratocaster into a mean, growling beast, bringing you a fat, punchy tone with plenty of top-end sparkle.

These high-output Strat pickups will give you big, beefy chords, and single notes will jump out in a way that no other pickup can deliver. The individually hand-polished 1/4" diameter Alnico 5 magnets help to give it plenty of the high-end sparkle and upper midrange harmonics that make this pickup so special. The middle pickup is RW/RP for noiseless operation in positions 2 & 4. The neck/bridge and middle pickups are available in an optional tapped variation as well, allowing you to tap into both vintage and high-output tonalities with a single set.

These bobbins are handbuilt, dipped in lacquer, then wound and wax potted for squeal-free performance. Seymour Duncan use modern "oval" Forbon flatwork (non-triangular), which enables the Quarter Pound high-output Strat pickups to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils.

Outfitted with 1/4" Alnico 5 rod magnets, these high-output Strat pickups deliver that huge Ritchie Blackmore Strat tone—big, mean and perfect for heavy rock.

Curious question. I don't know. They will "work" (pick up a signal). I have no idea how they'll sound.
