Description
Punch, punch, punch. Thats the thing that made 90s Music Man basses legendary, and the Seymour Duncan SMB-4D Music Man pickups faithfully reproduce that tone. With two large ceramic bar magnets and a custom coil wind, this pickup delivers tight, articulate tone along with the solid low end for which Music Man basses are so well known. Heavy rock and thumb-funk players alike love the immediate attack, clarity and power behind this pickup.
Available in this 4-string configuration as a drop-in replacement pickup for 4-string Music Man Stingray basses, this pickup may fit into OLP instruments as well, but check the dimensions of Seymour Duncan's pickup against the size of your OLP's pickup slot to be sure. Combine with Seymour Duncan's Music Man replacement preamp for a complete setup. NOTE: Not for use with Music Man basses that have a 3-way blade switch.
Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, this ceramic Music Man replacement pickup uses two large ceramic bar magnets, Forbon flatwork, 4-conductor leadwire and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free operation.

What are the measurements in centimeters of this pickup so I can be sure it will fit my bass?
I’m very sorry, the manufacturer has not made that information available. This will only fit an MM4 configuration.submitted2 years ago

Will this fit bass jazz of Geddy Lee
No, a Jazz bass uses single coil pups. You could rout out the body - it's been done. They won't "fit".submitted2 years ago

Will this fit in the Squier Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H? It looks like the screws line up the same as a Music Man bass
I’m sorry, I don’t know. I don't have one to check. It looks good but in a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitarsubmitted7 years ago
