Not for gigging musicians! Quality is lacking. Shure should be ashamed to put their name on this product
DO NOT BUY. This stand belongs in the trash!

WARNING: DO NOT BUY THIS MIC STAND! This full-time gigging musician advises you not to make the same $100+ mistake I made, as this stand completely fell apart after only TWO MONTHS. Then... on top of that , Shure has terrible customer service and will not assist me with the promised warranty, although this is clearly a design flaw and not due to fault of my own. I take incredible care of my gear as gigging is my livelihood, and I am on a tight budget. The biggest issue here is that plastic was used in one of the most delicate areas on this stand (an area that needs strength) instead of a more durable material. The plastic piece, as shown in my pictures, cracked slightly and then after another use, it completely broke and now this stand is useless. The only good place for it now is the trash. I will NEVER be buying another Shure product again. I'd suggest you do the same.
