Shure

collapse expand iconDescription

Affordable wireless cardioid condenser headset microphone for speech and vocal performance applications offers long-wearing comfort and reliability. Condenser cartridge with cardioid polar pattern. The new SM35 headset condenser microphone from Shure gives multi-instrumentalists the freedom to express themselves without having to sacrifice the sound quality found in traditional headset microphones. A tight, unidirectional (cardioid) pickup pattern provides excellent rejection of off-axis sound sources and prevents feedback and signal bleed. Standard TA4F (TQG) connectivity seamlessly integrates into any Shure wireless bodypack system.

Works very well

I usually give this to the priest when DJing weddings. Our previous Shure lapel had a wide pickup pattern and caused frequent feedback. I use the same receiver but with this headset mic. I wish I had discovered it before. It prevents feedback very well. Note that the audio will be slightly muffled once you put on the pop-filter. But that's to be expected. So, just use your EQ on your mixer to sharpen it up a bit. I still haven't figured out how to wear the headset but the priests seem to have no problem figuring it out. LOL.

It seems nice but...

I just received the Shure PGA31 and to my surprised I got only the headset. I needed this headset to teach dance classes online but nowhere in the Guitar Center website said that this needs additional equipment. I admit I am not experienced in instruments or music. More of the reason for the Guitar Center to specify that this headset requires a transmitter and better yet it does not include it. . In other words, it is useless the way is shipped. I will recommend this product only because I know how good Shure is but whoever buys this make sure you get the receiver. Unfortunately I will have to return this product since the transmitter seems to cost almost $300. I bought this product because it was affordable and now it turns to be prohibitive. This is an example of false or incomplete advertisement. I do appreciate the promptness of the delivery particularly in these times but unfortunately I'll have to reach out for an alternative solution.

This over both ears and around the back of head micro phone was a replacement for an old one. It is comfortable and reasonably priced.

Sounds great. Lightweight. Stays put. Let's me move around. Only complaint is that the foam windscreens wear out from fooling with it during gigs. Found a 12 pack of new foam windscreens for cheap. I loved it so much I bought the more expensive, durable version the PGA. I prefer the cheaper one. Sounds just as good and is more comfortable.

  • I would definitely recommend this product.

The original headset had gotten a kink in it since I bought it three years ago. We do a lot of shows every year and it lasted an acceptable amount of time before it had to be replaced. The replacement arrived quickly and works as well as the original one did.

The Shure name stands true on this product even though the price is not unrealistic. I would highly advise this. I have bought these to use them as backup microphones if one goes down. I have had to replace the microphone on my system and used one of these. You would not know the difference because the sound quality is excellent.
