My first boom mic stand and this one is a great investment for my home studio. It is built solidly and has a good amount of heft, has excellent cable management and above all it's easy to swing and adjust to fit your desk layout and your space.

Can I mount a Neumann Condenser Mic to this stand?
Yes, you can mount a Neumann condenser mic to the Shure SH-BROADCAST2 low-profile boom arm — but there are a couple of considerations: 1. Thread Compatibility The SH-BROADCAST2 has a 5/8"-27 male thread, which is the standard mic stand thread size in the U.S. Most Neumann mics (like the TLM 102, 103, or U87) come with a mic mount or shock mount that also uses the 5/8"-27 female thread, so they’ll screw right on. If your Neumann mic came with a European 3/8" mount, you can use a thread adapter (3/8" female to 5/8" male), which is inexpensive and widely available. 2. Weight The SH-BROADCAST2 is rated to hold up to about 2.5 lbs (1.1 kg). Most Neumann condensers are well under this — for example: TLM 102: 0.57 lbs (260g) TLM 103: 0.88 lbs (400g) U87: 1.1 lbs (500g) Even with a shock mount, you're still within safe limits. Conclusion Yes, it's compatible — just ensure: You have the right thread size or adapter The mic (and mount) doesn't exceed the weight ratingsubmitted6 months ago
