    I wanted a closed back headphone for tracking that sounded as good as my Sennheiser HD650s. The Shure SRH1540 fills this need nicely. Similar tonal balance, slightly extended frequency response and slightly more detail to my ears compared to the HD650s. Closed back lets me record without excessive bleed from drums in the room.
