About what you should expect from a cheap set of harps

I got these just as a set to experiment with alternate keys while writing new songs, and they will sort of work for that, but they are not smooth enough to play on stage or use for recording. Materials and general design is OK, but sound is lackluster and requires strong blowing to get decent volume and sound.

Came as delivered date said with free shipping. The case is decent to keep them in good shape. All notes of the set played nice as expected. Not hard to blow as I've read in some other reviews. The reeds are made from brass but I thought body of the harmonicas were a hard wood but realized there made from plastic. But after trying each one out didn't change the way it played or sounded. So I would recommend to others for a decent price for a kick around at set one can practice with was more than expected for the price. Really sound pretty good and can bend notes fairly easy also. The case also had no bad oder to it. Very happy for the price. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the plastic bodies. Suggest scribing the note of each on it before the paint gets worn off.

  • I would buy this pro again !

Very happy with this set of harmonicas. I've bought cheaper sets in the past with disappointing results (hard to blow, etc.) but these are nice. Very good tone and easy to play. They are also well-made (no rattling, etc.) and come in a very nice case. The set does have 7 of the most common major keys, but they are good enough that i wish the company sold all of the major keys in a set. If they did, I would buy it. Also, FYI, I mostly play accompaniment for informal jam sessions, religious gatherings, etc --- but also a lot of playing along with the radio on long road trips. I'm not a serious player so if you are, these might not be good enough, but for someone like myself, these are a definite step-up from the cheaper ones for sale on Amazon.

I wanted a complete set to try out new things before spending a bunch. This set did the trick. I can branch out with the music in different keys now. These are easy to play and found pretty good.
