The single-piezo Simmons ST1 acoustic drum trigger mounts easily to most acoustic drums, enabling you to activate sounds from your drum module. Designed with a high-quality piezo sensor, the ST1 picks up the player’s drum strikes, translates them to electronic signals and routes them to most drum sound modules with a standard 1/4" jack cable. The ST1 is engineered for quick, easy and sturdy mounting on most standard drum head tension rods, and the sturdy nylon structure will withstand years of use.

Works!

I bought four of those and used them on the mesh heads, and they worked okay. It took a while to figure out the sensitivity (not triggering or double triggering), so I had to use small pieces of materials to adjust the tension on the head/trigger. I wish the triggers had some kind of tension adjustment so we wouldn't need to spend that much time tuning/adjusting the sensitivity. For the price, with knowledge of adjustment, it is still worth the price.

Neverbuy this garbage..especially from GUITAR CENTER

Don't work with drum batter heads.. Meshheads possibly. I tried with simmons sd7k.sd5k.Alexis dm5.... Junk.tried on a mesh Simmons pad from a 550.. Shouldn't have to use trigger on a trigger to work

I've been playing drums for months now and i wanted a bigger snare on my alesis nitro kit. So i got a 12" Gretsch Blackhawk, Evans Soundoff, and the Simmons Trigger. What a big difference! By squeezing a nickel-size thin foam in between the trigger ( has pre-glued foam ) and the mesh makes a more, more solid contact. The housing is durable, too!

  • I Love it! It is perfect for layering snare samples.

I use it on my snare to not only muffle but to link a Roland Spdsx to trigger samples.

  • It's great I want several more.

Will this work with the Titan 70 drum module in an acoustic to electric conversion? I want to use these with the titan 70 module to convert my acoustic drums to electric. I'll be using mesh heads.

No. It will very possibly be inconsistent. It’s not a good idea to mix brands of e-drums.
