My preferred acoustic guitar tuning tool
I recently bought a second Taylor guitar. I've been using a SuperSnark tuner with my first guitar for some years now. It works great! Only thing I've had to do is change the battery when the original wore out. Needed another one for the new guitar in case I'm at a one-guitar gig. While I have and use a professional piano tuning app on my iPhone, and I have an advanced guitar tuner app that shows cent differences, the SuperSnark is faster and just as reliable. And I don't have to balance the tuner on my knee. Strongly recommend the SuperSnark.

Accuracy and Response Time are Putrid
Unlike the old non-recharageable Super Snark with the microphone+headstock clip, this tuner samples pitch at some point after the initisl note is played and does not track the pitch of the string reliably nor in real-time as the machineheads are adjusted. I find I have to completely mute the instrument for a second or two to take another stab at measuring the pitch on the current or on a different string. A seond problem is that when the tuner says two strings are in tune an octave apart, there are aubiule beats from the two strings played together-- they can be poretty grossly out of tune and read in-tune. I tried making sure it was fully charged and tried again, but same issue. I am going to see if I can exchange it for something that works, because even at 50% off, this is not worth the money. Extremely disappointing, as the old Super Snark worked quite well. Ths is happening on two different rechargable Super Snark models I purchaed at the same time, so it appears to be a design or a gross manufacturing error,

Use this in my home studio when inconvenient to use a pedal tuner. the accuracy is questionable and seems to lag, like i am chasing the tune. I have several different brands like this and the display is great and rechargeable feature is convenient but this is only suitable for playing at home or somewhere tuning being perfectly in pitch is not critical. #sweepstakes

How well does this work for bass guitars? I've tried using the Snark I had for my 6-string on my 5-string bass but the E string is usually unregistered by it and the B is completely missed.
It should work.
