    There is no gove for the hook to clamp into so it just drops the high hat when you hit the high hat with a stick. might as well not have a high hat mechanism at all than right. I am so sure pros are using this. lol. Return.

    It's a good clutch to get used to because of the lever tightness, but the spring is too tight so you have to hit the lever really hard. It was also a good way to kick yourself because it's good as the price. The Gibralter version is way better I've heard and it's half the price.

    I will start by saying that I have been playing drums for about 15 years and this is my first experience with a drop clutch. For me it is pretty hard to drop the hi hat using a stick which for me makes it worthless. If I cant depend on it working the way it is supposed to then there is no way I can use it on stage. I will be trying the Gibralter and the Pearl and see which works better.
