Very low quality and I would never buy it again. When I bought it the associate did do a good job when I explained what I wanted.

  • Hardware With Features I Like

This is a satisfactory hardware pack for an entry level/beginner to intermediate drummer to accompany a new drum set (great to accompany SPL Drum Kits), or someone who needs some back up stands. The chain driven bass drum pedal was easy to adjust to my liking, and the beater had both a felt side and a plastic side, which was a nice option. The cymbal stand was sturdy, but it wasn't too heavy, which was great at the end of the night after a long gig. The chain driven Hi Hat stand had smooth action, and the spring adjustment helped dial in the right feel to my liking as well. The snare stand was decent. One thing about the snare stand that I found was it could actually hold a smaller 10" tom, or even a smaller practice pad, which was a nice feature. The only concern about the snare stand was that I had to tighten two allen screws that held the snare basket in place, as mine was loose and my snare drum twisted in place while playing. Tightening the allen screws did the trick, however this was difficult as an allen wrench was not included. Overall, this is a decent set of light-medium weight stands, especially for beginners to intermediates.

  • Heavy Duty and Worth the Momey

These are heavy duty and as great of quality as my Pearl hardware on my other set. I would definitely recommend these to a novice on up to a professional. I'm a seasoned drummer for nearly 20 years and was putting a traveling set together so I chose these to try and they are great!

  • Good Hardware for the SPL Velocity Drum Set

The SPL Velocity drum set is oriented towards entry-level drummers, or beginner to intermediate drummers. As such, this hardware pack, especially when combined with one added cymbal stand, is a solid addition to the SPL shell pack. The stands are sturdy, but reasonably lightweight, with double-braced legs, memory locks for the tubes, and solid rubber feet. The hi-hat and bass drum pedal are chain drive, work well, and do the job. The snare stand uses a ball-and-socket design, which aids positioning. For either the serious student drummer, or a gigging musician, who is looking for a "worry-free" club kit, this hardware pack fits the bill, and is very reasonably priced. (On sale at GC when I wrote this review.)

For a simple 4 piece hardware kit and for the price, this is defiantly the best you can get for the money. The Hi-Hat, cymbal stand and kick pedal is quality build but the I wish the snare stand could be a little more sturdy. It can easily support a small rack tom and light snare with no problem on a completely even surface but if you have an un-even surface at a gig, or a heavy snare, this snare stand might be a bit of an issue.
