These tubes are the best. I have heard of people claiming that Sovtek tubes are mediocre or even bad. This is malarkey. Most of the best tubes available are Russian made. Many companies buy these same tubes and put their name on them. These 5881wxt tubes are some of the best tubes you can get. Unlike other tubes these are extremely consistent in their values. You can't get a better 6l6 anywhere anyhow. End of story.

Received the tubes quickly and they performed perfectly. Best price I could find - very satisfied. Their store is also excellent if you ever get a chance to visit one. Large selection of guitars and easy to try them out.

I cant believe these tubes were matched. First off,my duet consisted of one tube having a single "O" getter while the other had double "tophat" getters. This by itself does not mean the tubes still cant be matched but you would think they would sent out similar tubes when in sets. Secondly, one tube ran much "hotter than the other. I thought maybe it was my amp so I swapped them around to no avail. I ended up having to bias much colder than I wished just to keep the "hot" tube out of the red. The sound suffers but until I get a real matched pair I will have to live with it. I recommend not going with the sovtek matching system, get a reputable tube amp tech. or groovetubes to match them.
