Not really, the color is bluer than it looks. Look up skyblue and that's the real color of the guitar. Overall I love it, the design reminds me of Kurt Cobain's Skystang and it's light and compact compared to my heavier and longer Jaguar. Definitely recommend for people past the beginner stage and are looking to now make cover of songs or even joining a band!

This is one of those rare instances where a guitar exceeds my expectations. It might be a Squier, but don't let that turn you off. There is a lot of value and fun for the money here, especially if you grab one during a sales event. I got mine during Black Friday. It was playable out of the box and I spent about an hour getting acclimated to the scale length and controls. I was ready to do a full setup on it, but when I put it on the bench and started checking things there really wasn't much to do. I only had to adjust the truss rod a tiny bit, lower the bridge on both sides slightly. This also raised the string angle at the back of the bridge plate and stopped the strings from dragging on the plate and screws which also affected tuning stability. Filed the fret ends because they were very sharp. Applied some mineral oil to the finger board because it was very dry. With the exception of the horrible tuners, The rest was fine. Don't get me wrong, the tuners work, but there is a lot of play and backlash in them. I've already ordered replacements. Nut slots were spot on. The pickups are incredibly versatile and and with the switching options I can easily cover classic rock, surf, country and blues with them. I'm having so much fun with this thing. What did I change? Installed my strings, of course. Pulled the vibrato off and moved the two springs to the end of each post (farthest from the base plate) to lighten up the pressure a bit. Now it's perfect for me and I play it every day. Swapped out the creme pickup covers for chrome ones. Will install the new tuners when they arrive. That will be it. I would buy this guitar again in a heartbeat.

My second squire. First was a Affinity Strat. OK, but nothing to write home about. Was torn between the Fender Mustang and the Classic Vibe 60s Mustang Strat reviews on YouTube comparing the Fender and Squire Mustangs and they actually gave the Squire higher marks. Saved me about $200 and not sorry with my choice at all! Sounds great especially for the garage sound rock I love to play.

I'm an intermediate guitar player and want something that's versatile, meaning I can practice at home, record and play small gigs. This is the perfect guitar for it. I have smaller hands to the thinner and smaller neck make it easy and fun to play with, the pickups allow for different sounds, phase in, phase out, etc. Tone wise, you get a very DIY rock vibe (Think Grunge, indie, etc) Which I love. It looks amazing, from the vintage headstock to the old color on it. The biggest con is that the Mustang isn't for everyone. Changing strings is a hassle, have to lift the bridge and push strings underneath it, the whammy bar won't stay in place, and probably needs a tune up as soon as you get it. But for the price and the quality of it, you can't go wrong

I got the blue one. It looks white sometimes in some lighting. And the fingerboard looks a little dry but I fixed that with some conditioner. I've had a lot of mustangs, music masters, and jazz masters. This one is pretty cool.
