As an entry level guitar it gets the job done. Would recommend replacing the guitar strings and a tune up. Other than that it's great. Light weight and not expensive so you don't have to worry about chipping your expensive guitars when you just want to mess around and strum a few songs.

  • Fun little guitar

For the price, the quality is superb. And frankly, it's just one fun little guitar. The 24" scale length is something different, and I get to pretend to be Kurt Cobain. Highly recommended.

  • Surprisingly Good!

While most of my guitar collection is mid to upper level Fender, Gibson, PRS, among others, I was drawn to the Squier mustang. On the most recent local GC visit, I played a bullet and sonic mustang back and forth for about an hour. There was no question the sonic was better.

  • Yes, definitely!

I am an older guy. Played guitar a long time. I loved the Bullet Mustangs, but I love this one as much or more. I have nothing negative to say about this guitar, like the placement of the toggle switch. I say get used to it! This is a great sounding guitar with an easy and fast playing 22 fret neck. I am quite impressed. If you take care of it, it will probably become a collector's item in a few years. I would take another one for modifications, but I don't want to change a thing about this one. I want to keep it original. Don't be surprised that this is a bit different model from the Bullet Mustangs. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's pretty awesome that one can buy a nice guitar like this for the price listed. It's amazing!

It's possible. You would need to have the nut replaced. I think the saddles are alright. You may want to speak to a guitar tech to see what's involved.

I'm interested in purchasing Seymour Duncan Pickups for both the neck & the bridge. Would a Guitar Tech be able to install them for me? My concern in this particular guitar is I do not know the number of conductors that the guitar pickups should have. Would it be 1, 3, or 4?

The Squier Sonic Mustang is made in Indonesia. Most of the hardware is from China. Absolutely, it's all Fender design. Other than who's hand were put on it, it's a Fender.
