I don't always leave a review but...
I recently returned to playing guitar after having my lrft arm injured in 2019. Last June I bought a bunch of guitars ranging from this price (when it was on sale) to 1k from different brands. I kept many of them and returned a few but I did realize that I'm a strat guy. My first guitar was a squier (obey) in 2008. This guitar has blown me away. I love how it plays. It's affordable but you're getting more than what you pay for. Quality control is amazing too except for the one that I picked up on display from my local gc which had a Crack on its back which I did not notice. It was prolly a return. Upon unboxing the new shipped unit, nothing much had to be adjusted. No sharp frets, no scratches. The guitar is flawless. I only adjusted the truss rod a little. Action is ay 4/64 for all strings which I prefer. Intonation and pickup height is spot on. Nut height is good. I also did float the tremolo and it does stay in tune most of the time. I will look for locking tuners in the future still though. If I were to nitpick however, I am not a fan of unfinished maple. I like em satin or glossy. It doesn't bother me that much though as I love playing this thing while keeping 4 of my player and player plus in their cases. After this, I opened my heart for all the other squier models which have surprised me too especially their classic vibes.

I would buy again but heavily modify.
Playability The guitar is alright for a beginner guitar but the guitar had a terrible buzzing from day 1. The guitar still buzzes but with hours of adjustment, it's playable now. Quality The quality is horrible. It had buzzing as I've mentioned, but the strap button also was loose by day 3. after about 3 days after it became loose and had been tightened, it fell out. The button would not go in no matter how much I tightened it, and I lost it anyway. Now I have to buy a set of strap buttons and find a way for the top one that fell out to properly fit in the hole.

Such a beautiful guitar, and also it plays extremely well . There is some fret buzz to start off with but with a good set up it can play well. I feel like this is an amazing guitar for a beginner, strings are easy to push down, single coils and a humbucker. Easy to take apart to learn how guitars work and it stays in tune quite well.

I was afraid of having trouble playing this guitar and about it's quality. But I found it very easy to play, sounds great, and it's perfect for beginners

Decided to start off with learning the strat, and Guitar Center had a great price during Guitar-A-Thon. Overall, it's good for the price but there a few things I noticed that need improvement (a good setup should fix everything). Overall, happy with my beginner guitar. #sweepstakes

I've been editing in this special edition to come around. A white pick guard did not die this justice. The black pick guard with the color combo makes this thing a beauty.

I bought this guitar a couple of months ago. For the price i guess it's ok. Strings buzz even after adjusting. Every time i pick it up it is out of tune. I intonated it and some frets are way off. Fret bulge and sharp frets are bad. I will probably sell this one and get a mexican strat.
I would buy again.
