Stagg Super Clamp Folding Music Stand

I started trying to learn keyboards on a Rhodes. Very hard time finding a music stand and this just did it.

I prefer a clean stage when performing. I hate a clutter and there are always cables, cords, instrument stands and more to deal with, so purchased 4 of these for our band with the intent of doing away with music stands for those that still use them. For the most part these do a pretty good job and we have found them very worthwhile. They fold up easy, don't take up a lot of room, and can adjust to about any angle. About the only drawback is that when in use its really difficult to get them to stay level. When you place a notebook on it with song charts the weight tends to pull them down a bit making them un-level. No amount of tightening can fix this and the knobs are plastic so I hesitate torqueing these things too much. The weight of a songbook or notebook will tip the mic stand over very easily. If you're planning on using these, use mic stands with a tripod base as these are more secure than those with a round base. Also, the bottom edge plate for sitting your music on could have been a bit wider. I think it measures 1 inch, but 2 inches would have been perfect like a normal music stand. But overall, this is a very handy item and they work well. Sounds like I'm dissing these, but the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Just be aware of its limitations and prepare accordingly and you'll be happy with them.

It is real not secure on an Onstage keyboard stand. Can't tighten the clamp enough to be secure.
