I bought this guitar from Guitar center in Wilmington, Delaware as a backup for my 26-year-old Stratocaster. I found it easy to play and sounded great through my Blackstar amp. The neck is thin and a little more narrow than my Stratocaster and feels really good. I've been playing for more than 60 years and all my guitars have been fender and Gibson. This is my first time straying from those brands but it was recommended that I try it and I fell in love with it. I would recommend this to a friend.

Can you explain how the five way pickup selector works with two humbuckers ? I'm used to the five way with a Strat and thaty has 3 pickups. Do the humbuckers split?

No. The selections between the left-center -right are to run the pups out of phase.

I presume the photo is generic, but I want to know if the item for sale has as rich wood grains on the top as the photo. I have seen other instruments in this model that have a more faded or less dramatic grain on the top, and wouldn't want to buy this guitar and be disappointed about the appearance. Thanks for any info
