Supro Delta King 12 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Amp Black

I've had this amp for a little over two years. The sound and performance has exceeded my expectations. It's a great sounding amp with a cool vintage look. Whether I'm using a guitar with humbuckers or single coils, I can dial in a tone that hits exactly what I'm looking for in an amp.

I first heard this in a small guitar store -- every time you shop there, they plug you into this amp. And you want to buy every guitar you try, because this amp really brings out the best in them! Just a familiar warm sound, and it reacts well to nuances of your playing. It does prefer single coil pickups, I will say, because the amp runs to the dark end of the spectrum. Not muddy, but darker. That said, with the right guitar, it is capable of nice chime tones. Curiously, it is nowhere near as loud as other 15 watt amps they're making these days. I haven't tried it with a band yet, but I really wonder if it could keep up with a drummer.

Love the clean, edge of break up sound. The drive is nice too. Some might not like it, but it's got a great fuzzy character to it.

Been looking at getting a Blues Junior and ordered this one on sale. I'm super happy with the natural break up that you can get at low volumes. Blues Junior didn't seem to have a very good low volume dirt sound. The Delta King Doesn't get the crystal clear cleans like a Fender but it sounds so good on the edge of break up. Controls take some getting used to and it's very much worth checking out some YouTube videos on how to adjust it. Jack Fosset has a good one. My only complaint would be that the controls are nearly unreadable. I imagine in a dark club, you'd have no chance. I was thinking about using a label maker or som white gaffers tape and write my own control layout.

From a comparative price analysis, nothing compares at that price point.
