Yes, the TAMA Double Tom Holder for Bass Drum Mount with Adjustable Base can be compatible with your 1980s/90s TAMA Artstar II bass drum, but compatibility depends on specific measurements of your drum's mounting hardware. Compatibility Considerations The TAMA Artstar II series from the 1980s and 1990s typically utilized a 1" (25.4mm) diameter down tube for their tom holders. For instance, a vintage Artstar II double tom holder has been noted to have a main post measuring approximately 9.25" tall with a 1" diameter. The TAMA Double Tom Holder with Adjustable Base is designed to fit bass drums with a 1" mounting bracket. Therefore, if your Artstar II bass drum's tom mount bracket has a 1" opening, this modern tom holder should be compatible. Potential Compatibility Issues Some TAMA drum models from the 1980s, such as certain Imperialstar kits, featured a 1 1/8" (28.6mm) diameter tom mount. If your Artstar II bass drum has this larger mount, the 1" down tube of the modern tom holder would not fit securely. Recommendations Measure the Diameter: Before purchasing, measure the diameter of your bass drum's tom mount bracket to confirm whether it's 1" or 1 1/8".

Will this fit a 2004-ish Rockstar kit?

Will this fit a 2004-ish Rockstar kit?

Yes, the TAMA Double Tom Holder with Adjustable Base will likely fit an early 2000s TAMA Rockstar kit, but there are a couple of important things to double-check first: Bass drum mount type: Most TAMA Rockstar kits from the early 2000s used the Omnisphere double tom mount system. If your bass drum has the standard TAMA 1" (25.4mm) diameter receiving tube, the newer double tom holders will fit. L-Rod size: Rockstar toms typically use 10.5mm L-rods, which is standard across many TAMA mounts (including the newer ones), so you should be good here unless your kit has been modified. Bracket spacing: Ensure the tom holder base has a similar mounting hole spacing (on the bottom post) to what's on your bass drum. TAMA generally kept their spacing pretty consistent, but it's worth measuring if you’re unsure. If your Rockstar kit is from an unusual year or model variant, it might use different specs.

Why doesn't this include the base drum mount?
Is there a separate product and/or combo to get the mount plus the holder?
