collapse expand iconDescription

The Iron Cobra 600 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal from Tama offers drummers a high-performance pedal with unparalleled versatility. The 600 Series features Tama's innovative Duo Glide cam system, which allows drummers to quickly switch between a round "Rolling Glide" sprocket for smooth, consistent action and an offset "Power Glide" sprocket for aggressive speed and power. The pedal also includes a newly designed hinge and "Speedo-Ring" rocker cam with a ball bearing for precise, effortless footboard action. Built to the same rugged standards as Tama's flagship 900 Series, the 600 Series employs a heavy-duty double chain drive to ensure durability and accurate response for years of dynamic playing.

Duo Glide Cams Provide Instant Customization

At the heart of the 600 Series' versatility lies the Duo Glide cam system. This revolutionary design gives drummers the ability to choose either a round "Rolling Glide" cam for linear, controlled pedal action or an offset "Power Glide" cam for lightning-fast response and power. Switching between cams is a simple process, allowing drummers to customize pedal feel based on musical style, environment or personal preference. The Duo Glide system puts pedal customization at your feet, letting you shape your sound with precision and control.

Smooth, Powerful Performance

Beneath the customizable Duo Glide cams, the 600 Series employs industrial-strength components to deliver high performance in any setting. A newly designed hinge and "Speedo-Ring" rocker cam with ball bearings provide an ultra-smooth pivot point for the pedal, while a heavy-duty double chain eliminates slack for a fast, accurate response. The end result is a pedal that's built to handle the most demanding double bass techniques with power and precision.

Road-Ready Durability

Like all Iron Cobra pedals, the 600 Series is built to withstand the rigors of the road. A rugged, steel baseplate and durable footboard, along with sealed bearings throughout, provide a stable platform and protect internal components from damage. The pedal's chains are also fully enclosed to prevent debris buildup, ensuring consistent performance from venue to venue. For drummers looking for a versatile, high-performance double bass drum pedal that can keep up with their playing, the Tama Iron Cobra 600 Series is now available at Guitar Center.

An amazing pedal.

So i bought these pedals as my second set of double pedals, replacing my garbage sound percussion pedals, and, well... they're absolutely fantastic. I played a set with the DW 7000's on them and that's when i realized i needed new pedals. But some features on the iron cobras bought me out of DW's business. the reversible sprocket is certainly an amazing feature. Whether you want some smooth, jazzy play or speed metal at 64th's, these pedals will get you where you wanna go and will take you back and forth between the both in about a minute. Of course, being so adapted to cheap pedals, these pedals took some getting used to, and to be honest, i didn't like them at first because they had absolutely no resistance and i was used to dealing with a lot, but after getting used to these smooth beasts, I could never go back to those trashy sound percussion's. I can play 32nds all day long without tiring my legs, and triplets and quadruplets can be played at ease with insane speed. The the joints of this double pedal aren't lubricated and never need to be, so the only thing you'll have to maintain is the chain to avoid rust. Spring tension is mind bogglingly easy to adjust and can be done in literally 15 seconds tops. the footboards are medium long length, and, in my opinion, are absolutely perfect for the heal toe yet aren't too long for a shortboard enthusiast to get used to. the beaters are double sided but i'll never use the plastic side; the standard cotton-tipped side feels amazing. There is absolutely no delay from the moment you push on the pedal to the moment the pedal hits the base drum, unlike the dw's. all in all, this is an amazing intermediate level pedal for a price that doesn't melt your wallet. if you're thinking about the 3000s, throw those thoughts out of the window and fly them into to this one. if you're thinking about the 3000s because you like the heavier, gliding feel, buy these pedals, get dw's beaters, and switch the sprocket to the rolling glide.

great feel,but.....

I got a used pair in great condition....they squeak, the heel plate hinges squeak...I tried one in the store,it didn't squeak, but tried a 200,and it did squeak...I think they squeak after use.Maybe the 900s don't squeak,i think they just recently redesighned the hinge plate, probably cause they know iron cobra heel plates squeak!....I have a dw3000 pedal,it don't squeak....

I bought these pedals about a year and a half ago, after lots of abuse and daily use they still work. Wouldn't suggest them if your an above average player or play deathcore, or use heel toe techniques and your foot is bigger then a 10.5 US Men's. I barely get my foot on the board and have many scars from the cams on my toe's since I play without shoes. Overall build quality is amazing, everything is Sturdy and you know with Tama your gunna get some of the best products that are available in the industry today. Pro's Reversible cam's Solid footboard construction Dual Chain for less motility of pedal Con's Pedal lag (common with almost every pedal that isn't direct drive) Squeaking I don't know if anyone else had this problem but I had snapped my springs and upgraded to 900 springs
