TAMA

collapse expand iconDescription

The Tama Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide, a twin kick drum pedal built for drummers who demand precision and performance. The Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide features a redesigned cam and beater for increased speed, as well as a stabilizing frame and baseplate so you can pound out rapid double bass rolls with confidence.

LiteSprocket Cam System Provides Lightning-Fast Response

At the heart of the Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide is the LiteSprocket cam, 40% lighter than previous Iron Cobra cams for a smoother, faster feel. The LiteSprocket cam's offset double-chain design powers your footboard forward with each kick, accelerating your strokes toward the bass drum head. Combined with the Cobra Coil spring, which instantly returns the footboard to the ready position, the LiteSprocket cam allows for lightning-fast response and speed.

Redesigned Beater Optimizes Power and Focus

The Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide features a redesigned Power-Strike Cobra beater for a powerful, focused impact on your bass drums. The beater's wider surface area produces a broad range of tones, from sharp and cutting to deep and throaty. Its articulated design also allows for precise, controlled strikes on your bass drums.

Stable Frame and Baseplate Provide a Solid Foundation

With its wider baseplate and frame, the Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide remains firmly planted on the floor no matter how aggressively you play. The three-piece hinge guard blocks at each pedal provide durable pivot points and allow for a longer footboard, giving you more power and control. The Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide's stable foundation lets you execute rapid double bass rolls and complex footwork with confidence.

Additional Features for Ease of Use

The Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide includes a variety of features for quick setup and adjustment. The Para-Clamp II Pro attaches the pedal to your bass drum hoop without slipping or scratching the hoop. The Quick-Hook spring attachment reduces wobbling and transmits maximum power to the Speedo-Ring cam. The Swivel Spring Tight mechanism allows for free spring movement and an overall smoother feel. A hardshell carrying case is also included for safe transport of your Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide.

Playing hard and classic rock, I replaced my original Iron Cobra with the Iron Cobra 900 series double pedal. Great adjustability and heavy duty. Not sure I am crazy over the black felt beaters, but they are replaceable with the white beaters if necessary. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase!

  • I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it.

Love this double pedal. Tried several pedals including the Power Glides. The Rolling Glides feel so much better than any pedals that l've owned. I can get power, finess, and accuracy. They feel like a cross between Pearl Demon Drives and Pearl Redlines. Those two didn't quite get it for me, but my Rolling Glides are the bees knees for me. Thanks for working with me on these Sarah from Chico Guitar Center !!!
