Description
The TH-300X studio headphones from TASCAM provide professional-grade audio for critical listening in studio or live settings. Featuring 45 mm drivers in a closed-back design, these headphones block outside noise while preventing sound leakage for enhanced isolation and accurate monitoring. The TH-300X handles high volume levels with ease thanks to a robust build designed for extended studio sessions.
Enhanced Isolation for Recording and Monitoring
The closed-back earcups of the TH-300X seal out ambient noise for focused listening. At the same time, the closed design contains the audio from the 50 mm drivers within the earcups, so mics won't pick up any bleed or leakage during recording or mixing. The result is an intimate experience where you can hear every nuance and detail.
Powerful yet Accurate Audio
Large 45 mm drivers provide an expansive soundstage with powerful bass and clear highs for a balanced reproduction of your audio. Even at high volumes, the TH-300X maintains composure without distortion for comfortable, long-term wear. The frequency response suits mixing and mastering work where an uncolored representation is essential.
Reliable, Durable Build
From the gold-plated 1/4" connector to the steel-reinforced headband, the TH-300X is built to withstand the demands of studio use. Plush leatherette earpads and an adjustable padded headband provide comfort during extended sessions. All parts are designed for years of continuous use without corrosion or damage.
Versatile Compatibility
With an included 1/8" adapter, the TH-300X works with a range of gear from consumer audio devices to professional mixing consoles. Whether you're tracking vocals, mixing a song or enjoying your favorite album, the TH-300X provides a premium listening experience.

Puschase this during a GC flash sale
I was looking for a set of headphones for mixer monitoring. I'm use to my Sony MDR-7506 studio monitor headphones but I thought I would give the Tascam's a try. Frequency response and tone are GREAT! This is now my go to set of headphones. The only negative is they are not as comfortable as the Sony's for wearing long periods of time, but I hope this will change with use. Mark B

Nice sound but fragile for studio use
We have purchased 6 pairs of these headphones over the past 3 years. They work well for personal use for listening to music, and we still use 2- or 3-year-old pairs for that. However, we also purchased 4 pairs for a home studio (teenage rock band) to use for rehearsals and tracking, and they are NOT durable enough for heavy use. The thin plastic parts at the ears broke on one pair, and the wiring near the 1/8" stereo plug wore out on that one plus another, yielding an intermittent (but even then, weak) signal. I attempted to repair the wiring (put a good 1/4" TRS connector on the cable) but each of the wires inside consist of maybe 10 individually-shielded strands. Extremely flimsy and impossible to solder. Even at Daily Pick prices ($40 / pair), these are a poor value because they break so easily. When the last two pairs break, they will be replaced by something more durable (e.g., our Sennheiser HD-280s are far sturdier at a slightly higher MSRP).

Worked just fine for months, then just... broke

This stays permanently plugged into my monitor on my desk, so its not like its getting beat up during travel or shows. One day, less than a year of owning it, the left side just stopped working (tested across other outputs, it's the headset). No sound at all, and there wasn't any real incident I can think of that would cause it. Just died of old age, apparently. Look elsewhere unless you're interested in replacing annually.
Huge disappointment

Headphones only worked for two months, then went dead on left side. Past Guitar Center 45-day return period, and TASCAM says talk to the dealer where you bought them. New studio monitor headphones going in garbage.

Bought these because they were half price and wanted a pair of junker headphones to use around the house. They're comfortable enough, but honestly sound like there's a sock over the drivers. Bass sounds distorted at even moderate levels, and there is no high end to speak of. They sound very muffled compared to other headphones I've owned in their price range and even less.
Yes I would buy this product again!
