This is so underpowered, you have to touch it on the strings to get it to work, thus creating a bunch of mechanical noise on the guitar. Just get an E-Bow. When I found out that I didn't try mine out in enough time to return it (bought for a recording project), I just smashed it with a hammer. I couldn't sell this to another human and feel good about myself.
Very Fun!!!

This gadget is just a fun thing to own. You may not use it for every song but it will be a real standout when you do use it. It's also very multi-functional. I can use it to emulate a violin sound, I can use it to play cool one string solos and riffs, I can use it like a volume pedal, since as it gets closer to a pickup the string becomes louder and vibrates more. I have a Fender Telecaster Player's Series, and with the three different pickups, the sustainer sounds very cool. Moving it over each pickup makes a slightly different sound and volume level. The item itself seems very durable, as it's shell is mostly made of some sort of metal. My only qualm is that it is difficult to keep a consistent tone and volume. Overall a great product and my favorite gadget to use on my guitar.
Awesome, great new approach to guitar playing!

This is my first experience with any kind of sustainer, I was glad to see this in stock, as I had done a little research beforehand and found reason to believe this device can be as good as or superior to the more famous EBow, which I have no direct experience using. This product does what it says it does and is great fun, but will require some trial and error with setting your guitar and amp levels, what works well with picked notes does not necessarily sound great with a sustainer, but that's subjective. Overall its been a great purchase, came with a battery (it needs a 9 volt to work) and has just been a lot of fun to play with.
affordable and works great

Simple to use. Just open the package, pop in the battery, hit the power button and go. It has a pilot light on the bottom to help you see the strings when lining it up which helps. Works very well. It can get almost violent with the resonance of the string generated by the Aeon. Keep in mind that with any natural harmonic there are some 'dead spots' that just don't resonate but they are quite rare. Good: works well, inexpensive, love the guide light Bad: only has 1 mode (ebow has 2) but not a big deal
Worthless. Didn't work.
