TC Electronic Afterglow Chorus Effect Pedal

Description
The TC Electronic Afterglow chorus guitar effects pedal brings lush, dimensional modulation to your pedalboard. With its all-analog bucket brigade device (BBD) circuit, the Afterglow Chorus creates a stunning array of classic chorus effects. From subtle warbling to intense Leslie-style rotary speaker emulation, this pedal provides the warm, organic tones that defined the choruses of yesteryear. Despite its vintage vibe, the Afterglow Chorus fits seamlessly into a modern pedalboard setup thanks to its true bypass switching and small footprint.
All-Analog Circuit With Vintage Warmth
At the heart of the Afterglow Chorus is an all-analog bucket brigade device (BBD) circuit that creates rich, three-dimensional chorus textures. Compared to digital choruses, the BBD design imparts natural warmth and a touch of grit to the modulation. From jangly clean tones to lush lead passages, the Afterglow Chorus brings out the depth and nuance in your playing. Whether you're a vintage tone purist or just want an organic alternative to sterile digital choruses, the Afterglow delivers iconic modulated tones.
Shape Your Sound With Intuitive Controls
Dialing in your perfect chorus tone is easy with the Afterglow's intuitive control layout. The Rate knob adjusts the speed of the modulation from a relaxed, slow sweep to a fast, intense warble. Turn the Depth knob to control the intensity of the effect. At lower settings, you'll get just a touch of chorus; cranked up, it provides a thick, immersive chorus sound. The Mix knob blends the affected and dry signals, allowing you to easily fine-tune the amount of chorus in your tone.
Gig-Ready Format With True Bypass
The Afterglow Chorus effects pedal is built for the stage with its compact size, top-mounted jacks and true bypass switching. The true bypass design ensures no tone loss when the pedal is disengaged. It also eliminates the possibility of noise or hum caused by non-true bypass pedals. Setup is simple with the Afterglow's 1/4" input and output along the top edge. Power it up with a 9V battery or a standard 9V DC adapter (sold separately).

Incredibly Beautiful Chorus
This new line of TC Electronic pedals are just astounding at how low the cost is but how high the build quality is and how pristine the sound quality is. I couldn't have become a pedal convert at a better time (I'm coming from many years in the multi-effects world). After plugging this chorus pedal in I immediately wrote two songs. Who says Boss has the best chorus pedal? I throw my vote in for this pedal. It's made with a solid build and was worth every penny.

Worst pedal Ive ever used
Hands down the worst effect pedal Ive ever had the misfortune of using. The chorus effect on my Line 6 $50 amp I played when I was 16 sounded far better, which is sad. The effect is weak, almost inaudible when playing with even a slight amount of distortion. The tone is almost transparent, its such a weak chorus you have to crank the knobs past 12 o clock to even hear it. At that level its audible but sounds ridiculously exaggerated, like some crazy spaceship engine powering up. Running it on a Schecter C1 with 81/85 and Blackstar 5HT. Tried optimizing its order in my pedal chain, tried running only the Afterglow, even tried running it directly through the effects loop output on back of amp. Nothing would get this abomination to sound even halfway decent. AVOID!!!

Awesome pedal especially for the price. Takes a bit of getting used to the switch (engages effect upon release) but sounds great. Would definitely recommend it.

Really not what I expected. I could not get it to have much effect on the tone. Just enough to tell it was on but not much more.
Just the right amount of sounds, subtle.

This is a classic subtle chorus, has quite a lot of useful sounds. Mixes well with other pedals on my board.
Great sound for the $$

Once again TC delivers a great product. Effect and tone quality are superb. I have managed to acquire several of their devices and all are excellent units.
