Takamine GD11Mce Acoustic-Electric Guitar Satin Natural

I recently purchased the Takamine GD11-mce at my local brick and mortar GC as a step up from my old Epiphone which was pretty comfortable to play but was really lacking in quality sound. The Takamine certainly has a more refined sound and the electronics are far superior to Epiphone but the ease of play is just not what you would expect a 'Professional' level guitar to have. Granted this is not a Martin or Taylor and the sound is crisp and great either stand alone or amped. Stays in tune pretty well - tight machine heads, doesn't handle capo well though. I just don't consider this guitar to be a 'professional' level - it's just does not have that 'professional' level ease of play - I would call it a great low priced 'intermediate'

easy to play

This is my second Takamine guitar, it is a high quality guitar for the money. I love the natural satin finish and color, it doesn't slide around when practicing like the Glossy finish can. It has a bright beautiful tone. It is light weight and comfortable which makes for good for Extended practice sessions.
