Taylor Grand Concert 312CE-N Nylon String

Description
The Taylor Guitars 312ce-N Grand Concert acoustic-electric is an innovative nylon-string guitar that provides exceptional comfort and playability for fingerstyle players seeking a resonant, balanced tone. The compact Grand Concert body is ergonomically designed for easy handling, with a cutaway for full access up the ebony fingerboard. The solid sapele back and sides are paired with a Sitka spruce top for a mix of warmth and sparkle, perfect for nylon strings.
Ergonomic Grand Concert Body for Hours of Comfort
The 312ce-N features Taylor's popular Grand Concert body shape, one of the most comfortable and ergonomic designs available. Its compact size makes it ideal for smaller players or anyone seeking a more balanced, controlled tone. An elegant soft cutaway provides full access to the upper frets so you can explore the ebony fingerboard without limits. The Grand Concert's dimensions translate to a guitar that's comfortable for hours of playing in any position.
Sapele and Spruce Provide Resonant Tone
The 312ce-N pairs solid sapele back and sides with a Sitka spruce top, a combination that provides the perfect foundation for nylon strings. The sapele adds warmth and depth, while the spruce contributes articulation and dynamic range. Together they produce a tone that's balanced yet resonant, with clear highs and controlled overtones. This winning tonewood combination allows the unique voice of nylon strings to shine through.
ES-N Electronics Deliver Natural Amplified Sound
Taylor's ES-N electronics were designed specifically to complement the tone of nylon-string guitars. An under-saddle pickup captures the 312ce-N's acoustic properties and sends a natural amplified signal to the preamp. Standard volume, treble and bass controls enable you to shape the tone to suit the venue. Whether performing live or recording in the studio, the ES-N system delivers the same resonant, balanced tone you experience when playing unplugged.
Premium Appointments and Lifetime Support
Like all Taylor guitars, the 312ce-N is built with the utmost craftsmanship and premium, eco-friendly materials. It features an ebony fingerboard and bridge for a smooth playing feel and a durable yet lightweight hardshell case is included. Experience the comfort, tone and playability of the 312ce-N today.

Beautiful Sound

Really nice sound. A perfect crossover between acoustic and a true classical guitar. It likes a soft touch. Really nice wood and finish, high quality all around. I also really like the 214N from the Mexico factory, it sounds 95% as good as my 312eN and is half this price, but I like the Grand Concert size a bit better than the Grand Auditorium. It just depends on which size you prefer to play. The 1 7/8 nut width works well for traditional acoustic and electric guitar players to grab this nylon string a play the low tension strings without tiring the wrist or hand. This thing is a home run.
Perfect for my needs.

This guitar is a perfect practice and performance guitar. I was searching to purchase a nylon string guitar for some time and one of the criteria was it had to be made in the USA. Owning a few other Taylor guitars, I realized that I should add a Nylon string Taylor to the bunch. This 312ce N worked out to be a great fit for my needs. It plays extremely well and the sound is so balanced for my finger picking style of playing. I also plan to use slack key tunings half of the time for practice and performances.
