Taylor 322ce 12-Fret Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar Shaded Edge Burst

Description
The Taylor 322ce 12-Fret Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar gives you Taylor's signature playability and tone in a compact, comfortable package. Crafted for fingerstyle players and singer-songwriters, the 322ce 12-Fret's all-mahogany body produces a focused, articulate sound with a strong fundamental and controlled overtones. The 12-fret neck construction moves the bridge closer to the center of the lower bout for enhanced midrange presence and an intimate feel. Whether recording or performing, the 322ce 12-Fret's balanced tone cuts through the mix with clarity.
All-Mahogany Body Resonates Warmth
The 322ce 12-Fret's all-mahogany construction gives it a natural compression that smooths out your playing technique. Mahogany's balanced warmth and clear, direct tone allow other instruments to shine through. The solid mahogany top, back and sides vibrate as one for a unified voice with strong projection. In your hands, the 322ce 12-Fret feels responsive and alive.
12-Fret Neck Offers Relaxed Feel
The 322ce 12-Fret's 12-fret neck construction moves the bridge closer to the center of the lower bout compared to a standard 14-fret design. This results in a more relaxed string tension and intimate feel for comfortable playability. The mahogany neck's slim profile and medium fret size also contribute to the 322ce 12-Fret's easy playability. Whether fingerpicking or strumming chords, you'll find navigating the fingerboard fluid and natural.
Hybrid Expression System 2 Provides Versatile Tone
Taylor's proprietary Expression System 2 electronics faithfully convey the 322ce 12-Fret's warm acoustic voice. This hybrid system combines an under-saddle piezo pickup with Taylor's patented behind-the-saddle pickup. Blending the two pickup signals gives you a range of tones from natural acoustic to fat and full. With volume and tone controls for each pickup, you have the versatility to match any musical situation. The Expression System 2's discreet low-profile control panel maintains the 322ce 12-Fret's minimalist aesthetic.
Premium Appointments and Construction
As part of Taylor's 300 series, the 322ce 12-Fret exhibits their dedication to quality and craft. The dovetail neck joint, Italian acrylic fingerboard inlay and tortoise pickguard give this guitar an upscale yet understated aesthetic. Black binding, bridge pins and tuners provide subtle contrast with the natural mahogany finish. Taylor's deluxe hardshell case protects your investment and is perfectly fitted to the shape of the guitar. Overall, the 322ce 12-Fret delivers pro-level sound and build quality with style and soul.

What a wonderful instrument

Granted by most measures I would be defined as a beginner - been playing about 2 years. Over that short time, I've been through several acoustics not sure what I was really looking for. Thank goodness for GC 45 day return policy. Won't take you through the entire journey but it started in the mid price range with a Breedlove, then found out about Taylor - moved to the 224dlx in koa. Beautiful in its own right but even the GA body style felt large to me. Moved to another GA body in the 814 - that was awesome but couldn't justify the price point and still felt large. Picked up this 322ce with the Concert body style made all the difference. Decided to try the 12 fret even though at this stage just a 'strummer'. It felt PERFECT. The satin mahogany top, sides and back are beautiful. Understated vs the gloss and I like that in this 'vintage' style. However, the cutaway gives it a little modern look and maybe someday it will come in handy up the neck. As a late beginner I don't see me getting above the 12th fret anyway. The tone is warm yet bright - just a nice full voice with plenty of volume and if needed can always plug it in. The fit and finish are perfect. Love the slotted headstock. Topped it off with a Taylor denim strap to keep with the understand vintage vibe. This guitar saved my early case of GAS and now practice practice knowing there is no use to search for 'something' better 'for me'. With the delivered 12s it feels great, buts headed in for a PLEK job and will probably have set up with D'addario XS 11/52 as I continue to learn and explore this beautiful instrument. The guys at the GC in Atlanta were great and patient while on my journey to find this beauty.
