Description
The Taylor Academy 12e Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar provides an unequaled combination of quality, comfort and value. Taylor's signature Grand Concert body shape yields a comfortable, lightweight instrument with a tapered waist for effortless playability and articulate tone. The solid Sitka spruce top paired with layered sapele back and sides generates a rich, resonant sound with satisfying bass, sparkling highs and lush overtones.
Slim, Comfortable Neck Enhances Playability
The Academy 12e Grand Concert features a slim neck with a 24-7/8" scale length and 1-11/16" nut width—ideal for smaller hands or beginners transitioning from electric guitar. The genuine African ebony fingerboard and bridge provide a smooth playing surface, while the armrest offers extra comfort. These design elements combine to make the Academy 12e Grand Concert remarkably easy to play.
ES-B Pickup System Delivers Natural Tone
Taylor's ES-B pickup system incorporates technology from their flagship ES2 system to provide a natural acoustic tone when plugged in. Powered by a 9V battery, the ES-B system includes a built-in tuner, LED display and 3-band EQ for shaping your sound. Whether on stage or recording in the studio, the ES-B pickup system enables the Academy 12e Grand Concert to sing with the same warmth and nuance as when played acoustically.

From the solid wood top to the quality gig bag, the Academy 12e Grand Concert is built to exacting standards with premium components. The maple neck provides stability and longevity, while the ebony bridge pins, NuBone nut and quality tuners ensure this guitar stays in tune and plays beautifully for years to come. Thoughtful touches like the armrest, pickup system and lightweight body contribute to an overall experience belying the Academy 12e Grand Concert's accessible price point.

The Grand Concert size is the perfect fit for me. The built in arm rest is great for longer playability. It is an all around comfortable guitar. #sweepstakes

I was looking for a quality guitar to play in local venues, and this one does not disappoint. It's built-in tuner eliminates the need for my headstock tuner (one less piece to worry about). It plays beautifully with a full sound!
My dream guitar.

Casual guitarist/singer. Mostly country, folk, and older rock songs. I went to GC wanting to spend under $1,000 on a decent Martin. I've just always wanted one. I compared every guitar on the wall in my price range, and I left with this Taylor 12e. Unique, bright, crisp sounding.
I would buy this again, just without the tuner

Guitar is just the right size for me, since it's a little smaller. Still has great sound, both deep and bright. My only issue might be the tuner. It seems to have a hard time deciding which note it's on. Wish I would have gotten one without it. It's not a huge issue since I have a clip-on.
best value for money!!!
