The Taylor Builder's Edition 652ce V-Class 12-String Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and innovation. This premium 12-string guitar features a comfortable Grand Concert body, a stunning Wild Honey Burst finish, and Taylor's revolutionary V-Class bracing. With its rich and expressive tone, effortless playability, and advanced electronics, the 652ce is the perfect instrument for discerning musicians.

Premium Materials and Construction

The 652ce is crafted with the finest materials and Taylor's renowned attention to detail. The torrefied Sitka spruce top delivers a warm and balanced tone, while the figured big leaf maple back and sides add richness and complexity. The hard rock maple neck and ebony fingerboard provide a smooth and responsive playing experience. This Taylor 652ce Builder's Edition is a true testament to Taylor's commitment to quality.

Reverse-Strung for a Meatier Tone

The 652ce features a unique reverse-strung setup, where the fundamental strings are placed above the octave strings. This innovative design produces a "meatier" tone with a more prominent fundamental note, reducing the jangle often associated with 12-string guitars. The result is a clearer and more focused sound that's perfect for strumming and fingerstyle playing. This Taylor 652ce Builder's Edition 12-string guitar is a true innovator in the world of 12-string acoustics.

Electronics for Stage and Studio Use

The 652ce is equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics, which capture the guitar's natural acoustic tone and dynamic response for amplified playing. Whether you're on stage or in the studio, the ES2 delivers a pristine and articulate sound that's faithful to the guitar's acoustic voice. This Taylor 652ce Builder's Edition 12-string guitar is ready for any performance.

V-Class Bracing for Optimal Response

Taylor's V-Class bracing is a revolutionary innovation that enhances the guitar's volume, sustain, and intonation. This unique bracing pattern creates a more harmonically rich and responsive instrument. With V-Class bracing, the 652ce sings with exceptional clarity and projection. This Taylor 652ce Builder's Edition is a true testament to Taylor's dedication to pushing the boundaries of acoustic guitar design.

Comfort and Playability Redefined

The 652ce is designed with the player in mind. The beveled armrest, beveled cutaway, and chamfered body edges provide exceptional comfort for hours of playing. The smooth hard rock maple neck and ebony fingerboard offer a familiar feel for electric guitar players, while the Curve Wing bridge with double-mounted string anchoring adds stability for complex chordal work. This Taylor 652ce Builder's Edition is a joy to play, whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your musical journey.

It is a high quality built guitar, no doubt. But it is a small body 12-string. If you do not plug it in to an acoustic flavored amp, it is essentially worthless. I am Taylor fella through and through. The body is just too small. It is all tin. Total buyer's remorse. Sorry Taylor.

This guitar is beautiful in so many ways. I was concerned the smaller body wouldn't translate into a full sound but I was wrong. It has a beautiful sound and you can play it similar to an electric. It stays in tune. It's very easy to play. I will never sell it.

I've been a guitarist for 52 years with 12 string being my first love. In the right hands, a 12 string sings like a bird. I've owned many 12's over the years to include top names but never found one to replace my gorgeous sounding, beloved, 1970 EKO, Italian made 12 string guitar, used in my very first professional group and later stolen by an unscrupulous luthier. That is, until now. At first glance, the 652ce is parlor sized and not exceptionally striking but then I've owned beautiful guitars that sounded flat. Once I picked it up, strummed it, felt the amazing action, then plugged it in to my Acoustic amp, I was sold on the spot. This guitar is a gem, a 12 string player's dream and will very likely be my last 12 and my most used axe even over my wonderful 814ce standard 6. Well done Taylor!

This is the second 12 String I have owned, my first love is a 1979 Ovation. That guitar was a daily player for many years. This Taylor stands above my Ovation in overall tone, playability, and Voice. This is my new love, and first choice for pickup!!

  • Great 5 star guitar!

My fourth Taylor, three of which are 12 strings. Superb instrument in a relatively compact package which makes playing easy for a 78 year old. What a great guitar!
