Description
The Taylor GS Mini-e Mahogany acoustic electric guitar combines compact portability with a rich, resonant tone that rivals full-sized instruments. Built with a solid mahogany top, this guitar offers natural compression and a balanced response, emphasizing fundamentals for clear lows, rich mids, and smooth highs. Its layered sapele back and sides enhance durability while providing a warm tonal foundation. The 23.5" scale length makes fretting effortless and ensures a satisfying acoustic experience with tuning stability. Equipped with Taylor's Expression System Basic electronics, the GS Mini-e delivers professional-grade amplified sound for live performances or studio sessions. Paired with a padded gig bag, this travel-ready acoustic electric is perfect for musicians who demand quality and convenience wherever they play.
GS Mini-e With Solid Mahogany Top Enhances Warmth and Resonance
This guitar's solid mahogany top provides a naturally balanced sound profile, ideal for players seeking warmth and clarity. Mahogany's unique properties create a linear response, evenly distributing string vibrations for consistent projection and sustain. Its natural compression smooths the attack, emphasizing fundamental tones and maintaining clarity across frequencies. Combined with Taylor's precise bracing, the mahogany top maximizes resonance and ensures a dynamic tonal range. This design provides a direct, responsive feel that suits both delicate fingerpicking and bold strumming styles.
Premium Taylor Tonewoods–Layered Sapele Back and Sides
The GS Mini-e's layered sapele back and sides deliver an optimal balance of durability and tonal responsiveness. Sapele's dense grain structure enhances midrange projection while complementing the warmth of the mahogany top. The layered construction resists environmental changes, ensuring consistent performance in varying humidity or temperature conditions. This resilient design makes the guitar ideal for travel, while its tonal properties maintain a balanced sound with excellent projection and resonance. Whether at home or on the go, this durable build offers reliable performance without sacrificing tonal quality.
Taylor Expression System Basic Electronics for Amplified Tone
Outfitted with Taylor's Expression System Basic electronics, this guitar produces natural, high-quality amplified sound. The ES-B system uses piezo elements to capture the guitar's nuanced tonal characteristics, delivering warm, dynamic output for live settings or recording. The onboard preamp includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner and simple volume and 3-band EQ controls, allowing players to shape their sound with precision. The automatic battery shutoff conserves power, while the intuitive interface ensures seamless operation during performances. This electronics system makes the GS Mini-e a versatile tool for both acoustic and plugged-in scenarios.
Compact Design With Premium Features
The GS Mini-e combines portability with sophisticated appointments for a refined playing experience. Its 23.5" scale length and slim neck profile provide effortless playability, while the genuine West African ebony fingerboard offers a smooth, tactile feel. Chrome hardware and a NuBone nut enhance tuning stability and tonal consistency, while the arched sapele back improves resonance in the compact body. Included with the guitar is a padded gig bag featuring backpack straps, ensuring secure, comfortable transport. This thoughtful design makes the GS Mini-e ideal for musicians who value quality and convenience.

The GS Mini Mahogany is incredible! I love the size, the warm sound, how loud it gets, and the tone is incredible! It's an amazing guitar for travel or for anything smaller than a regular size guitar! The playability is awesome, and it feels like a much more expensive guitar than it actually is! I would buy this thing again in a heartbeat!

I have short stubby fingers, my middle finger from the knuckle is 3.5 inches. Plus I am a beginner. Is this a good compatible guitar for me?
The body is a bit smaller so that end would be easier to start out with, but the neck is nearly a full sized neck so that may be tricky at first. But overall nothing that can't be adapted to.submitted3 years ago

This model isn't in our local Guitar Store. Is there a way I could hear this model played somewhere on the Taylor web site?
I’m sorry, but not that I know of.
