Easy and Practical
Recently I purchased a beautiful Breedlove acoustic guitar. The model I purchased didn't have a pick guard, so I was a little nervous about scratches to the finish. I did a little research and found this transparent, re-usable pick-guard from Taylor. I knew that I didn't want to apply a pick guard with any adhesive to the front of my guitar because I didn't want to damage the finish. I also didn't want to change the appearance to my guitar either, so I thought I'd give this one a try. It works perfectly. You can't see it unless you really look closely, and it provides the protection I was looking for. It's kind of like buying and applying a screen protector for you iPod. Very simple idea that works great.

ok if you have specific finish on guitar
this product is only good if you have a glossy finish on your guitar. I have a guitar with a dull finish on it and it looks great but doesnt have a pick guard on it so i needed this product. I finally got it in the mail and it had no chance of sticking to my guitar. I wish i would have known it would have only stuck to specific finishes before I ordered it....

Easy to put on and provides the protection I was looking for. Can hardly tell that it is on the guitar and comes off without leaving any residue. Easily reusable a little waster wash up and sticks right back on to a different guitar.

This removable pit guard cover is absolutely amazing! I love that you can still see the beauty of the wood on the acoustic, but still have the protection you need from potential scratches It's very easy to put on and take off also But the best thing about it is, it's completely clear you can't even see it!!!
I like the concept, but in practice it's not very useful

This is a very thin, rubbery sheet of plastic which probably does protect the pick guard area somewhat. i purchased because my ring and pinky fingers like to slide around on the pick guard when I'm playing, I don't anchor them for a lot of the style I play. I thought they would wear out the finish on my beautiful Taylor 914e, so this looked like a good solution, but it's too sticky to duplicate the feeling of a pick guard (it feels like my pick guard free Les Paul when I don't clean this area for a few weeks). I don't really want to install a hard plastic guard on the guitar, I'll see if I can get used to it.
I might purchase again or make one.

I can't seem to get the film to separate from the paper backing on the Taylor clear pick guard. Is there a trick? Or did I get a bad one?
