    The String Cleaner seemed like a no-brainer to me when I saw it at NAMM. It's definitely the quickest, easiest way to clean your strings. The guys at ToneGear are true to their word, using this bad boy on a NEW set of strings definitely preserves their life. I've already noticed I've cut back on changing them so the product pretty much paid for itself.

    Dirty strings are a pain in the neck. I spend a minimum of an hour a day playing and each day after i finish i have to spend an additional 10 minutes just to clean the strings. When i heard about this product i was ecstatic, but unfortunately this product is ultimately lacking. After using i must still spend about 5 or 6 minutes cleaning leftover grime. The pads that come on this tool are too soft to scrape away dirt, and too tense to wrap 360 degrees around the string. From one musician to another- keep your cash. If you care about your instrument take the time to clean it properly and thoroughly. Though it does its job "OK" i wouldn't in good conscience recommend this product to any serious artist
