Traveler Guitar

collapse expand iconDescription

The Traveler Guitar EG-1 Standard is a full 24-3/4″ scale electric guitar featuring a compact single-cutaway mahogany body that provides modern comfort to the traveling guitarist.

The proprietary In-Body Tuning System uses standard tuning machines relocated into the body, eliminating the need for a headstock. As a result, you’ll have the same full-scale playing experience you’re used to on an instrument that’s 27% shorter and 59% lighter than a typical full size electric.

A Seymour Duncan Designed "Devastator" high-gain humbucker pickup is in bridge position to give you heavy tones. A custom headphone amplifier is built-in, allowing you to practice privately. Cycle through clean, boost, overdrive and distortion tones using the custom tap-pot and listen through your headphones or favorite amp. The jackplate has an aux-in so you can plug in your mobile device and play along with your favorite tracks.

Weighing in at just 4 pounds and measuring only 28-1/2" long, the EG-1 Standard is the perfect solution for traveling players unwilling to compromise on scale length, but still looking for a small and light solution. This guitar is an ideal carry-on guitar because it stows easily in airline overhead compartments in its included deluxe gig bag.

This little guitar has made a huge difference in my playing ability only because of its size I can keep it right in the living room and jam whenever I want! It has a built-in headphone jack so I don't drive my wife crazy, and a distortion knob that works incredibly! The only downside is that because of how much I play it the electronics have become damaged. My distortion knob is shot and the input for the cable is in chaos. The good news is to buy all new replacement parts is under $50.00!! I've been playing just with my amps gain and wiggling the cable to overcome the feedback but will be ordering new parts today! So worth it!!!

You say these fit in the overhead bins. Yet Southwest has a limit of 24", Delta 22", United 22", American 22." etc. (I just checked each one's websites.)
If this guitar is over 28" long, how can you say it fits in the overhead bin? Even calculating the 28" as the hypothetical hypotenuse of each carrier's dimensions, it's *still* outside the dimension restrictions.

Airlines may have since changed the sizes of their limits but when this guitar was first released it was an ideal carry-on guitar because it stowed easily in airline overhead compartments in its included deluxe gig bag.
