Traveler Guitar

collapse expand iconDescription

The Traveler Guitar EG-1 MOD-X is a hybrid electric travel guitar that refuses to compromise on tone, performance or style. Whether you're a touring musician, a frequent traveler or simply looking for a versatile and compact guitar, the EG-1 MOD-X delivers the best of both worlds—the power and punch of an electric guitar combined with the rich, natural tones of an acoustic. With its full-scale neck, killer humbucker, piezo bridge and jaw-dropping portability, the EG-1 MOD-X is ready to rock wherever you go.

The Best of Both Worlds

The EG-1 MOD-X features a full-size alnico humbucker pickup and a piezo bridge pickup, giving you a wide range of tonal options. The humbucker delivers fat, punchy tones that are perfect for rock, blues and metal, while the piezo bridge provides a warm, acoustic-like sound that's ideal for clean passages, fingerstyle playing and adding depth to your overall tone. With a simple switch, you can seamlessly transition between electric and acoustic sounds, making the EG-1 MOD-X incredibly versatile.

Full-Scale Playability

Unlike many travel guitars, the EG-1 MOD-X boasts a full 24-3/4" scale length, providing the same feel and playability as a standard-sized guitar. This means you can shred, riff and bend to your heart's content without having to adjust your playing style. The mahogany body and black walnut fingerboard provide a comfortable and familiar feel, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable playing experience.

Ultraportable Design

The EG-1 MOD-X is designed for the traveling musician. At just 3 lb., 15 oz., it's 27% shorter and 59% lighter than a full-size guitar. This makes it incredibly easy to transport, whether you're carrying it through airport security, taking it on a road trip or simply storing it in a small apartment. The included gig bag provides added protection and convenience.

Versatile Electronics

The EG-1 MOD-X's electronics are designed for maximum versatility. The tone knob features a coil-split function, allowing you to switch the humbucker between full-humbucking and single-coil modes. This gives you access to a wider range of tones, from thick, growling humbucker sounds to sharp, snappy single-coil clarity. The piezo bridge pickup can be blended with the humbucker or used on its own, providing even more tonal options.

A Guitar for Every Occasion

The Traveler Guitar EG-1 MOD-X is the perfect guitar for any occasion. Whether you're writing songs on the road, jamming with friends or performing on stage, the EG-1 MOD-X delivers full-sized tone and playability in a travel-ready package. With its versatile electronics, comfortable design and ultraportable size, the EG-1 MOD-X is the ideal companion for any guitarist on the go.

For me this travel guitar checks the most boxes. Sounds like a humbucker, single coil, acoustic. Its full scale length but still compact, body isn't much smaller than other headless guitars, easy to setup, good price. Compromises made to get to price point but they don't make it feel cheaper.
