Bought for my daughter (upright and electric bass) for in- room practice where space and 'noise' are factors. Adequate sound, BT connection or aux for backing tracks.. WEAK sound but will serve this purpose. "Effects" are minimally useful. Not terrible but just know the amps limits.

I charged the speaker overnight. The on light comes on but the speaker does not work with aux input or instrument 1/4 plug in. DOA.

No, it isn’t. It will not reproduce low frequencies well and you risk speaker damage.
