Description
Compression Spring Technology
The Pro1-V utilizes an internally housed compression spring. Compression springs have the ability to ""cycle"" faster and utilize energy more efficiently. The benefit is a pedal that will react as fast as your foot. The compression spring works with the profiled cam follower to reduce the amount of spring tension build-up as the beater approaches the drum head; this gives you a more fluid stroke from beginning to end. Spring tension is adjustable while you're playing-simply turn the spring dial that's conveniently located within easy reach at the top of the main housing. Imagine no longer having to remove your pedal from the hoop to change tension settings.
Independent Split-Cam System
Because of the split-cam systems design, you can now change the attitude and attack of the pedal in seconds. Trick's fully independent split cam system allows the player to infinitely and independently adjust the beater from the drive cam angle with a 360-degree range of smooth yet solid settings. This system also allows for immediate conversion of the Pro1-V into a cocktail kit pedal or a triggering pedal.
Multi-Position Stroke Adjustment Cluster
This three position cluster is an integral part of the sophisticated geometry at work on the Pro1-V. It gives the player separate adjustments for the footboard angle, pedal action, and throw. This feature is patent pending.
Beaters
Universally adjustable, the Pro1-V Bass Drum Beaters can be easily moved to any height/angle along the titanium shafts within seconds by using a standard size drum key. This allows the beater to strike your desired location on any sized bass drum without radically affecting the overall pedal feel. Hard/Soft surface change-out options are also included with beaters.
Footboard
The BigFoot's 13" footboard is machined from solid billet aluminum that is rigorously fracture tested to 12,000 pounds per square inch. The footboard is attached to the heel plate using a pressed-fit hardened solid steel pin which is extremely reliable and durable.
Drive Shaft
All Trick Double Pedals feature the P1V6 Drive Shaft, which offers zero latency and zero backlash. This means that any and all motion that takes place on the secondary pedal is translated directly to the primary pedal. The P1V6 Drive Shaft is so reliable and effective that is has become a popular retrofit upgrade for non-Trick Pedals.
Base Plate
The Pro1-V base plate is machined from solid billet aluminum. This provides the Pro1-V pedal with an ultra sturdy platform on which everything else is built. The base plate is tensile strength certified to withstand over 12,000 PSI.
Slide-Trac Rapid Release Hoop Clamp
This multi-purpose feature streamlines your set-up time. To connect the Pro1-V to your bass drum, simply hold down on the spring loaded lever and slide the pedal onto your hoop and release! No more fumbling to screw and unscrew wing nuts. When it's time to pack up, simply squeeze down on the lever to disengage the clamp, remove your Pro 1-V pedal, and hit the road! The Slide-Trac has three memory set-screws so you can pre set your hoop size and distance from the head for fast set up and tear down, time after time. It also allows the Pro1-V to fit snugly and perfectly on any brand of bass drum hoop regardless of the width or thickness.

.........that is all
This pedal is un-freaking-believeable. The smoothness is phenominal. The pedal itself works with your feet on the up-stroke, and provides a very even riff especially on the very fast double bass strokes that metal players love to play. As both an active player and a drum teacher, i strongly recommend this pedal. It may be exspensive, but it is well worth the price you pay trust me. p.s. ,it also puts a pretty little shine to your kit and gets alot of WOWS!

Good pedal bit can be better
The pedal itself is well made, and definitely makes easier when playing high speed. You can set up the pedals in so many ways Something bad is that you can feel the difference between the left and the right pedal while playing, and the only way to fix this problem is using the pedals individually. Also there is a big gap between the two beaters that makes a different sound for each when playing with no triggers. Also you can not tell if both pedals spring has the same tension, because there is no any number or measurement on the knob tensioner. Something that bothers me is for a such expensive pedal, they don't even give you a case, not even a cheap one. Guitar center send me this expensive pedals 4 months later in a box with no wrap or in some way that tells you they take care of the pedals. They sent just the pedals with no tools and with no something even that say the pedals are new. When I opened the box I thought they send me a used ones. I'm not buying anything expensive in guitar center anymore.

Solid pedal. If you play metal you need a direct drive for sure

Was extremely impressed with the quality of the product. It's heavy duty, built in the USA and smooth as butter. I love the beaters it comes with too. The only thing is I wish it came with larger Velcro for the bottom.
Sweet pedals, Amazing design and just superior to my DW's

Best pedal I've used. The quality is amazing, looks like it's every part was machined from solid piece of metal not stamped or die cast like my DW's. I went from DW 3000's to DW 5000's for a few years when these arrived it was a no brainier the quality was by FAR superior to the DW's. Simple to setup and adjust. You can adjust spring tension with the twist of a knob without getting any tools. The feel is solid, response is immediate and I'd say my speed whet up 10-15% immediately. I was hoping for a 50% gain but unrealistic goal out of the box. But with these pedal I'm positive I will achieve my goals. It's just a superior design in every way. To compare my DW 5000 and Tick Bigfoot would be like comparing a VW Bug to a Corvette ZR1. They are in different totally class

Great pedals if you've pushed your pedals to their limit

These pedals are great, and they are faster but they won't make you faster. I was using a pair of tama speed cobras, but I noticed in higher tempos that sometimes they would drag, could've been my technique but I will say after getting these and playing higher tempos it is so easy to make it clean, and I don't have to work as hard. These pedals are very easy to use and you can still get a lot of power out of them, it just takes some tweaking and also depends on you. Overall though these pedals are great and I would recommend them to anyone who feels like they have pushed their current pedal to its limits and want a pedal that will save you some energy while playing.

This a direct drive pedal and if you are not accustom to direct drive type pedals it will feel off to you. I see some reviews of people noting that and its a personal preference mixed with muscle memory. That said the direct drive design is superior to a chain style pedal that allows for quicker and more accurate feedback ideal for fast playing. I have several pedals including axis longboard, iron cobras and pearl demon driver direct drive pedals. The trick I can say is easily my favorite. The build quality is superior the demon driver is easily the worst in build quality a separate note. Setup and adjustments for this pedal are also super easy and fast to make happen. I will note that I can play slightly faster on the axis and pearl due to them being a lighter feel under the food. But the trick is far more consistent helping me keep better time and the slave pedal is basically a 1 to 1 on the master. Were the axis and tama have a decent amount of lag, the pearls very good but still not as nice as the tick. I run my axis' on a double kick setup for that reason and the axis is my second pic if you wanted a very fast and reliable pedal. The tama iron cobra is very heavy and you cant play as fast as easily when compared to the direct drive pedals. The pearl is fast but the build quality is lesser as i have had every screw on the bottom strip and two threaded holes strip out on the link arm. Not a good pedal for gigging IMO as I dont think it can stand up to the road also theirs way to many adjustments that are unneeded on it. The trick allows me to play heel toe easiest which is something I struggled with on all the other pedals. Practicing at 300bpm is now doable with heel toe doubles or triplets. I play mostly heavier fast music but on occasion playing some pop or fun slower music the pedal works great with clean consistent strikes and a strong under foot feel helps with unwanted rebounds. Its worth the cost. Get a used one to save on cash if you can find one.
