Ultimate Support

collapse expand iconDescription

Ultimate Support's tripod-base Amp-150 Genesis amp stand is extremely stable, holds up to 75 lbs, has 3 tilt angles, and its arms and legs fold up for portability.

Mic Boom Attachment
There's no need to carry an additional mic stand when gigging with an AMP-150. There's a built-in mic boom attachment at the top of the height-adjustable stand! Just add your favorite boom arm (or a gooseneck) and microphone, and you're ready. Great for both live sound reinforcement or for recording in the studio.

Three-Position Tilt Stand
Featuring three tilt positions, you can aim your amp exactly where you need it when using an AMP-150 amp stand. You'll be able to hear high frequencies at much lower volume levels on stage and in practice, and the sound guy will have better control over FOH sound since your amp is no longer facing directly forward.

Stable and portable
The AMP-150 is one piece that quickly folds into an ultra compact, 3.5" x 18" unit. Take your stand anywhere and never lose parts again! And, the sturdy tripod base holds up to 75 lb. - it's the perfect addition to your small to mid-sized combo amp.

Patended leg-locking system
Genesis Series guitar and amp stands feature a unique, patented leg-locking mechanism. When setting up the stand, unlock the legs, unfold and lock the legs in place for worry-free stability and strength. When finished with the gig, unlock the legs, fold, and lock for easy, compact portability. The ingenious leg lock eliminates "floppy leg" syndrome.

It's great with a small amp!

I use this with a Fishman Loudbox 100 - only 23lbs. so this stand does a great job with it. The metal construction seems heavy-duty for a small unit - though time will tell with the plastic parts. I have DI outs, effects loops, etc. on the back of the amp so it has to be positioned just right so the back post is not blocking any of those ports. Otherwise, it's perfect! It folds up real nice and compact! Not sure about the 75lb. rating though - maybe 50lbs. or less might be more accurate. But it's under 30bucks with a 5 year warranty - so I think it's worth it!

Not even worth your time!

Well, I bought two of these stands for my band and as soon as I got to the studio they broke. Supposibly they hold up to 75 pounds, we play through two fender hot rod devilles and as soon as we set one of them on the stand, the neck of the stand broke. I don't think this can even hold 15 pounds for that matter, definetly not worth buying. For an extra 10 bucks you can get the other stand which is a lot sturdier and worth the money, I bought two of those and they work great.

this stand is really handy for small gigs where I'm just using a Supro combo. Easy to carry and set up, and let's me hear the amp much better

  • More portable than it is durable

The good thing about this stand is that it folds down into a bundle that's only 15 inches long and roughly 4 inches in diameter. The rear leg is adjustable in three 1.5-inch increments so you can control how far back your amp leans. The weak point is the center column, which has a plastic height adjustment clamp. The plastic that holds the clamp in place is so thin and weak that it breaks easily, rendering the center column too short to hold the back of the amp in place. A quick fix is to attach a 3/4-inch hose clamp to the center extension to hold it in place, but this obviously shouldn't be necessary. I would recommend this stand only if portability is more important to you than durability.

Nice little stand. Easy to setup and sturdy. No issues for the little BlackStar HT-5R amp. Like the adjustability of the lean/angle as well. Packs up nice, small and easy to transport.

Holds my Mark Bass CMD 12 perfectly! 3 Different angles a plus depending on how close or far away from amp I am. You Tube reviews helped me make up my mind about purchasing this item! One of my bands mic's all the instruments using a small boom works perfectly. More portable than any of my other stands and does double duty for recording or using a mic on amp. You can't go wrong purchasing this stand!

I own 4 of these amp stands & I enjoy the great portability & durability. I use it for 15 watt to 100 watt amps which weigh from 30 to 75 pounds. I've also used it for PA speaker monitors just to get a better angle of projection. I recommend it to all since you can attach a boom to mic your lower wattage amps or even as a makeshift mic stand. At one point I thought that ultimate support discontinued it because I could not find them in GC but found out that they are very popular. Get one you won't regret it for its compact size & clever fold up design.
