Pro Series Extreme microphone stands from Ultimate Support feature a mechanism that allows you to fold the tripod legs upward for quick and easy storage, with a locking mechanism that makes sure the stand will be sturdy in use, and secure in transit.

The base is made from die cast aluminum, ensuring the stand provides the sturdiness and weight users have come to expect from the line.

Featuring the same thick-walled steel tubing shaft design that users expect from the Pro Series, combined with the heavy powder coated finish; Pro Series Extreme microphone stands remain 20 times stronger than the competition, and will be with you for a lifetime.

4 times a charm lol. I am on my 4th one. Overall its a good stand but it has some design issues . There is a set screw that can fall out which is not good at a gig. The little release arm for the extension boom either breaks or starts having issues. They make one with out the extension boom I may have to try that one. GC has replaced each one that has failed.

The first one I ordered failed right away. GC replaced it. I am now getting a second one replaced. It is easy to lose a very small set screw near the top. I have also had issues on 2 of these with the little arm that allows for the boom extension. I had one of those snap and on a second one it just seem to wear out and not hold the boom extension. 3 times a charm lol. This time I am putting some silicone on the set screw and plan on not using the little lever for the boom. This is sad because its a nice heavy duty stand. I gig all the time and need gear that holds up gig after gig. I know they make one with less features, I may have to try that one. I used the dr 1 for a long time but they break down with constant use as well. The search will continue.

  • Disappointment by the third gig...

I received this as a Christmas present this year and waited for months for it's final release. I thought at first that someone had finally designed the "Ultimate" stand. Went to setup last night and slipped my microphone into the holder only to have it drop completely down vertically. I found that there is only a small watch size set screw which keeps the upper arm from turning 360 degrees. Well guess what... That screw had sheered in half. Good thing I always carry back up equipment... or maybe a better solution would have been to Duck Tape it in place... pardon the sarcasm. Disappointing at best.
