    I USE THE SCREW IN STANDS ON TOP OF MY SUBS. THE LOCKING MECHANISMS RATTLE LOUD ON THE UNITS WHEN THE BASS IS ON. WILL BE RETURNING TO GUITAR CENTER TODAY.

    Really good quality but the locking mechanism rattles when the bass plays; So I will be returning.. with the rattle I thought it was my sub but it was the pole.

    We purchased a pair about months ago (prior to this review). They worked flawlessly for about six times as we rarely used them. However, the locking mechanism failed on both units after about our sixth use. They never left our studio and had the same 35 lb speakers for each stand. The lock started slipping after about the sixth use rending the unit completely useless as there's no other locking mechanism other than the "twist ring" to raise, lower or lock.
