obsessed with this amp! yes it's heavy, but it's also gorgeous which, in my opinion, is all that matters. the sound quality and versatility of settings is really great — it can make a cheap guitar sound good.

  • One of the best amps, ever. Period.

The combination of the power amp, reverb and fantastic tremelo are tough to beat. Excellent glassy clean and plenty of grit if you crank the volume. Thankfully there is a master volume as it's incredibly loud. I wish it had a built in attenuator as some Vox heads have. It'll get good blues and up to classic rock levels.of gain, but more than that and for lead work you'll need a good overdrive pedal. After many years admiring Vox amps I couldn't resist a good sale.

  • Great Vox sound at a reasonable price

I have had this amp for a few months now and I love it. I agree with the other review that states that this is only a 15-watt amp, and it is very heavy (48.5 lbs). That is not a concern for me, I don't carry it to gigs, and if I did it wouldn't be a concern. Also, just to compare it to the amp I returned when I purchased this one, it is lighter than an EVH 5150, 15-watt amp. The EVH weighs 4.5 lbs. more and only has a 10" speaker. The fact is 15-watt tube combo amps with a cabinet big enough for a 12-inch speaker are heavy. I have multiple tube amps and rotate between this Vox AC15C1 and a Marshall DSL40, it just depends on the style of music I plan to play. Connecting to the Vox top boost gives more of that British growl that is just perfection for some songs while the Marshall has a softer growl, they can both work for virtually any style of music, it just depends on your preference.

It appears to be a mistake. It has two power tubes - it's 15 watts. Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web team.

To begin this is an incredible offer. To address the question: the Cream back was not made in the U.K. Correct? Great deal still. Wow. Impressive.
