VOX

collapse expand iconDescription

The VOX AC15 is where it all started. This amp, beloved by legends for nearly six decades, is powered by twin EL84 tubes and dishes out 15 watts of pure British rock 'n' roll tone through a genuine Celestion Greenback speaker. Whether you're using the Normal channel or the iconic Top Boost, the AC15 Custom delivers the unmistakable sound that defined an era. Onboard, you'll find classic spring reverb and the legendary VOX tremolo to elevate your sound even further. The AC15 Custom continues to uphold the tradition that began in 1958, combining the iconic VOX sound with modern refinements for today's players.

With Extra Power and Headroom for Versatile Tone

With its extra wattage, the AC15C1 gives you more headroom than the AC10C1, allowing you to keep things clean at higher volumes before pushing it into glorious overdrive. The additional 12AX7 tube in the preamp adds tonal versatility, particularly when used alongside the Top Boost circuit. For players looking for a smaller amp with similar VOX charm, the AC10C1 is available in the same Blue/Cream limited-edition design.

Limited-Edition Blue/Cream Design for 2025

For 2025, the AC15 Custom is being offered in a limited-edition Blue/Cream aesthetic, providing a vintage-inspired look to match its classic sound. This striking design is only available for a short time, making it the perfect collector's item for fans of VOX's storied history.

This amplifier has its' best reputation with some British Rrock, but very few people know what a good blues:jazz amp it is. If you want to check out an example, I have a video in my YouTube Jellybean8124 channel in Vox AC 15 & Epiphone Les Paul.

It's a Vox AC15… but purple, what more could you ask for?

  • Excellent VOX Chime, for 55 Days, then POP, No Chime

Beautiful sound and color scheme. Unfortunately, after 55 days of playing the amp at low volumes only at home, on a circuit that has had three other VOX, Fender and Blackstar amps work for nearly 20 years trouble free, there was a loud pop. No more VOX chime, or any other sound for that matter. My neighborhood Guitar Center understandably wasn't able to be flexible on their 45 day return policy. The nearest VOX service center is 64 miles away. Fortunately I connected with Tucson's legendary John Markovich. He replaced and socketed ICs and swapped out the original tubes for Electro Harmonix tubes. The amp now sounds great again. The VOX chime is back. This work added a couple hundred dollars to the price, but it was something I was considering doing in the future anyway. This is a really nice amp. It is just disappointing to have such a quick failure. In contrast, my VOX AC4 has run for years trouble free.

I live in Ciudad Juarez a border city to El Paso Tx. Since the Vox amp is not eligible for store pick up, doing you an exception, would it be possible to order it and me going across to Guitar Center at El Paso to pick it up?
