Custom 6.5" Speaker For Focused Tone
The 6.5" speaker in this amp is custom-designed to provide clarity and focus, ensuring your guitar's natural character shines through. Despite its compact size, the speaker is engineered to handle a wide range of tones, from shimmering highs to tight, punchy lows. It's perfectly matched with the amp's 10-watt output, delivering a balanced, full-bodied sound that works for both clean and overdriven settings. This tailored speaker design enhances note definition and responsiveness, making it an excellent tool for exploring dynamic playing styles.
Clean/Overdrive Switch For On-Demand Distortion
Switching between clean and overdriven tones is effortless thanks to the dedicated Clean/Overdrive toggle. In clean mode, the amp produces the iconic chime and clarity Vox is known for, making it ideal for articulate rhythm playing. Engaging the overdrive mode unlocks a creamy distortion with rich harmonics, perfect for leads or crunchy chords. Adjusting the Gain control lets you push the overdrive further, transitioning from subtle breakup to roaring saturation. This feature gives players the ability to quickly adapt their tone to different musical demands.
Comprehensive Tone Controls For Sound Shaping
With dedicated Treble and Bass controls, the Pathfinder 10 offers precise tone shaping to craft your signature sound. Dialing in the Treble control enhances the amp's high-end sparkle, while the Bass knob provides a solid foundation for warm, resonant lows. Paired with the Gain and Volume controls, these EQ options allow you to fine-tune your tone with exceptional detail. The simple yet effective control layout ensures that tonal adjustments are intuitive, allowing players to focus on their performance.
Durable Build And Distinctive Design
The Pathfinder 10's limited-edition Union Jack finish sets it apart visually, celebrating Vox's iconic British roots. Sounds great and portable

Bought this amp to have a good looking little practice amp my wife wouldn't mind seeing around the house. The sound blew me away, good clean tone, good overdrive sound. One of my favorite things is that I can plug into the 110 outlet in my F150 and test used guitars anywhere.
Great little practice amp!

I bought this without trying it out first. When I plugged my Strat into it, I was pleasantly surprised! This amp has great clean, and crunchy sounds. This amp works well with my Boss GT1 multi-effects pedal. It's not very powerful, but I knew that going in. Great amp for the price!
A highly recommended sleeper amp

Bought the blue special edition model because I was looking for a practice amp that could work in ways my full ac30 can't. Unintentionally I discovered that this amp is actually preferable to my ac30. Don't get me wrong my ac30 is a tube version and it sounds great for a 2 x 12, but this little bastard is CLEAN. I have never had an amp with such cleanliness even when running distortion through it. The built in overdrive is nice even all on its own. I've run a Tele, a danelectro 12, a martin, and a few other guitars through it and holy crap they all sound great. Pairs well with the catalinbread Galileo pedal.
Takes pedals better than a Champ!

This little Vox takes pedals better than my Fender Champ, seriously! It sounds great clean and it can break up at super low volumes. It sounds even better with a little faux spring reverb and tremolo, and the crunch I can get with an EHX Soul Food pedal is bonkers. Mustang single coils and Les Paul humbuckers both sound great. In fact it takes humbuckers better than my Champ too! And that amp costs 8 times as much! This will be my main practice amp now. The cream color with brown grill looks awesome.

First off, the striking looks of this amp on the GC web site had me sold! Upon its arrival, I pulled it out of the box and it was a dark blue, almost Navy blue ! My heart stopped!...Best advice-open the box in a well-lit area so the light can bring out its colors, not in a low-light area (see the other below pic). I turned on extra lighting and it glowed a nice, royal blue, similar to the above photo (see the other below pic). After I regained my senses, I plugged in and tested everything from tone to volume, clean to dirt and this 10-watt baby ROCKS! No reverb here but you don't need it with this amp-just use a reverb pedal. This amp is only about 10 lbs so it's very light-weight. Headphone jack works superbly, too, for that quiet practicing. Another nice touch is having the open back which gives it a broader sound, similar to surround. I love the chicken head knobs which gives it a classic look. I also ran my Little Ed Sheeran Martin acoustic with its Fishman pup through it and surprisingly, for its size, the Vox put out nice, warm tones. The line-out option worked great through my JBL EON208P PA System...Bottom line--This is my first VOX amp and I'm impressed. It's easy to carry, easy to set up with it's long cord, the clean tones are fantastic and the gain covers crunch to fuzz to heavy distortion. This VOX does what it's designed to do so...GET IT!

Does this work for Bass?
It will produce a signal but it's not good for a bass. A guitar amp is not designed to reproduce the low frequencies that are typically produced by a bass guitar. This means that it can compromise the sound quality of the instrument. Besides this, improper use of the speaker can also lead to damage.submitted2 years ago
