This Bamboo Splashstick has the same physical design as Vater's original Splashstick, but is constructed from bamboo dowels. The bamboo offers superb durability and some added weight for a solid feel, without excess volume. Bamboo is also the fastest growing plant on Earth, making this a very eco-friendly stick.

Vater's Bamboo Splashstick is made of 19 hand-selected bamboo dowels that provide warm acoustic tonality while producing a solid crack. The extended rubber grip leaves 4" of the dowels exposed, offering stick-like feel with excellent durability in the rim-shot area.

    I've used just about every type of brush/rod/rute type stick on the market since '95 and NONE compare to the sound, and especially the amazing durability of the VATER bamboo. They don't break, they just wear down very SLOWLY. The long plastic sleeve keeps them bundled perfectly, and the rim shot is beefy, not wishy-washy. Sounds on ride cymbal are loud and articulate, crashes have enough weight to come through, when played on the shoulder, but cared must be taken not to hit too hard, or it will be loud. The dowel type made by any other manufacturer will break in no time at all: result? Buy more! Not with this product. I would not go on the gig without them. Thanks VATER, you got this so right!

    Hands down best pair of Rods i've ever bought. they last 5 times as long as any others I've bought and the sound, quality and clairity is uncomparible to any others.
