The Vater 5A Wood is a classic, versatile stick with an acorn tip and a medium taper. Ideal for orchestral percussion to light rock and pop, this versatile stick is great for the dynamic player.

    Bought this bundle to A / B the traditional acorn bead to the included pair of keg bead. Immediately found the keg bead to be more suited for my ride cymbal. A definite swing towards darker overall tone coming if the ride. The acorn bead features more of a bright, articulate ping. I will of course use both styles of sticks, but prefer the keg bead overall.
