    Bought this for my son. He already had the one sided (red) pad but wanted to upgrade to the two sided pad. The black side is every bit as good as the red side but with more rebound. One of the best practice pads on the market.

    I am a snare drummer in a high marching band. This drum pad has served me faithfully for 3 seasons now. Sometimes I draw on the soft side of the pad with a permanent marker. (it comes off)
