Vater

collapse expand iconDescription

This pack includes four pairs of Vater drum sticks designed by Mike Wengren, the multi-platinum drummer of the band Disturbed. Mike's drum sticks measure in between a 5B and a 2B with a quick taper to an oval nylon tip. The extra length gives the sticks some added weight and a bit more reach. Nicely weighted and durable, the Mike Wengren model is a great stick for hard-hitting drumming. The drum sticks are finished in a black stain with artwork featuring Disturbed's album logos.

"I've been playing Vater for my entire career. There simply isn't anyone else out there that crafts wood better than they do. My playing requires a lot of power, precision and intensity. The added length and thickness combined with the beefier shoulder and shorter taper of my stick model was designed to help me do just that. It gives me that extra edge to push me to the limits of my performances night after night." - Mike Wengren (Disturbed)

I like the weight of these. Returned to playing after years away and bought a used e kit. Read recommendarions to use nylon tips on mesh heads and saw these after trying Vic Firth wood tips, which are also nice, but I think I like these even better.

These sticks are great as the title says. I got them to try out and right when i started playing i immediately loved them. I like the color of them and they can take a beating! It took me at least a week to break a pair and im a pretty hard hitter. If i had one complaint it would be that there a little too thick where you hold them but you get used to it. So if your looking for a pair you can beat up this is it

I've always used shorter, lightweight sticks. I tried these at my friends house and they had a better feel in my hands then the Zildjian sticks I used. They were longer then what I was used to, and a lot heavier. The black finish goes off quick on your cymbals, so you better buy some cymbal cleaner as well. Overall, good solid sticks
